OOTD - Wild Thing

I love me some animal print.  I think my love affair started in junior high, when I became the proud owner of a zebra print sleeveless shirtdress that I basically wore into the ground.  So, when I stumbled on this leopard print teal sweater at Goodwill a while back, I knew it had to be mine.  It's a perfect piece to add a little bit of crazy into a basic 'running some errands and a quick doctor's appointment' sort of outfit.  Plus, the necklace I found just before Christmas happens to match perfectly!  I guess that's what happens when you gravitate towards Lisa Frank colored clothes... I haven't grown out of all my junior high obsessions, apparently. ;)

Oh, and if you thought my sweater was crazy, wait until I introduce you to our resident pantsless wonder...... just listen for the required two-year-old 'nooooooo' at the end!  Never a dull moment in this house!

OOTD - I Think I Can!

It's that time of year.  That time where nothing you own seems to fit right, and all you want to do is lounge around in sweatpants and eat cookies.  You know, that time right after you have a baby?  Oh yeah, AND it's the holidays.  It seems like a season of 'cant's' when it comes to the contents of my closet.  I can't wear any of my jeans.  I can't really wear anything fitted. I can't wear dresses (they make it a little awkward if I have to nurse in public).  Now, before it sounds like all I'm going to do is complain, there are some awesome things happening in my life right now.  I get to look at this little face every day:

I get to take blurry candid shots of the rest of the family watching Youtube videos:

AND, I get to get creative with my outfits.  I can, and will, wear leggings 98% of the time, and I even get to start wearing these wedge booties I found while I was still pregnant.  There was no way I was going to try to waddle around in heels while still carrying that baby!!  All in all, I'd have to say that life is pretty awesome right now, and the awesome definitely cancels out all the 'cant's.'
