OOTD - 16 Weeks

Ya'll, I'm a bad blogger, and I apologize!  I promised a Fair Trade Friday post for you guys like two weeks ago, and then it just didn't happen.  I don't even have a good excuse, other than not being motivated.  So, I apologize.  Still friends?  Good.

Since we are such good friends, and you're in such a forgiving mood (you are, right?), maybe you'll excuse the horrible lighting in my outfit photos too?  Aww, shucks, you're awesome.  Just for that, I'll give you a little helpful hint: new customers at ThredUP can get a $10 credit to shop!  I think I've talked about ThredUP before, but just as a reminder, it's a resale site where you can find gently used brands from Old Navy to Diane von Furstenberg at a fraction of the original price.  Every item is inspected by the ThredUP team, and is in either new or like-new condition.  In addition to women's clothes, they also carry shoes, purses, kids' clothes, and my new favorite, maternity clothes!  I've made a few orders with them, and have always been more than happy with what I've received.  Take this top for example:

Thanks to a referral credit, I got this top, and one other, for a grand total of $3!  Also, after you make your order, you get your own personal referral link to send to your friends, and for each one that signs up, you get another $10 to shop!  I really can't get enough of this site, and so I figured I'd share it with you!  In the spirit of sharing, here's some more outfit photos (note the lovely pigtails in the next one, I'm SO overdue for a haircut!):

Top: via ThredUP, $2 with referral credit

  1. Lookin' good, missy! :D <3 I've heard awesome things about ThredUP (mainly the clothing they offer and the quality), but not so good things about the whole giving them bags of clothes for money bit (i.e. long waits, small pay outs). I've never tried them myself, but maybe I will. I'm not a year long spending freeze (which I've managed to keep to this day OMG!), so it'll have to be next year. Hehe.

    2. Wow, a whole year! I admire your discipline, there's no way I could last that long! Even that 30x30 challenge I did almost did me in! I will say, I haven't been disappointed yet with anything I've gotten from ThredUP, but I haven't sold back to them yet either... I have one of their bags to send stuff in sitting on my desk, but for the amount I'd get back for my items, I'd almost rather keep them and repurpose/swap them than try selling... but it seems like other people have good luck with it, since there's always something new on their site! You'll have to check back with them in a year, or if you wanted to use that $10 credit, you might find yourself a shirt or something for free...even shipping is covered if the item is less than $10 (so like $8...) :)
