OOTD - 14 Weeks

It's been a busy week!  I'm volunteering with our church's Vacation Bible School all this week, and helping some of the church and community kiddos learn about some weird animals and how 'Jesus' love is one-of-a-kind.'  It's been a lot of fun, and thankfully, I think my 2nd trimester energy kicked in just in time!   I can't really decide which part is my favorite though: watching Big A dance and sing the songs at her first ever VBS, or the giant grins on the 1st and 2nd grade girls in my group as they tell me their favorite part of VBS is "EVERYTHING!"  It's all just kind of awesome.

Right along with my extra energy comes a renewed 'shopping bug.'  For some reason, I am convinced that I have to find all the maternity clothes I need NOW, even though I'm not quite big enough to need any of them quite yet.  That doesn't stop me from wearing maternity jeans already, though, since I'll take any reason to wear stretchy-waisted pants that I can!  One Goodwill find I'm excited about is this scarf, since it adds that little pop of pattern to otherwise simple outfits.  Of course, there are others in the house, (*cough cough* the man I married*) who were less than impressed.  "I didn't know they made 'maternity scarves'..." were his words when I brought it home after a maternity shopping trip.  Oh, in case you didn't know, men and women think a little differently!  He did have to agree that it looks pretty cute with an outfit after the fact.  I just have to remind him of a VBS point: even though [we're] different, Jesus loves us!
